Summer is right around the corner, and there are many events statewide that are loads of fun for groups of families or friends:

Little Elm Craft Brew & Que Festival (June 4)- One of a kind event in Texas, located against the backdrop of Little Elm Park on Lake Lewisville. This is a fun event which contains refreshing beer, tasty barbeque, and entertaining live music. Over 150 craft beers will be showcased from the region at this annual beer festival. Rainbow Classic for Kids Golf Tournament (June 13)- This golf tournament located in Wylie, Texas helps raise awareness for the Children’s Advocacy Center of Colin County’s cause to provide safety, healing, and justice to children impacted by abuse. Vintage Market Days (June 17-19)- Located in Nacogdoches, Texas, this event has over 200 booths which showcase various vintage-inspired items such as art, décor, clothing, jewelry, and much more for your use and pleasure at home. This is an opportunity for you to walk out with some unique items created by some of the most creative people in the area. Watermelon Thump (June 23-26)- A very fun event in Downtown Luling, Texas, the Watermelon Thump is an event all families should check out. During the four days of the event, there are many activities to partake in such as the parade, live entertainment, world championship seed-spitting contest, carnival, and much more. Warriors to Workforce Career Workshop for Veterans (June 10)- Hosted by United Way and Deloitte, this career workshop located in Houston, Texas provides Veterans, staff of Veteran nonprofits, and Veteran family members improve their job acquisition skills. There will be many helpful events throughout the day, such as a session with a Key Note Speaker, different seminars which will help you develop your job profile, and personal time where you can share and listen to stories with everyone around you.
